FULL SCIENTIFIC GRANT
Applicants must first complete an initial application form. All initial applications which meet the criteria set out by the Trust are forwarded to the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee for consideration. Successful applicants will be advised that they are through to the next stage and will be asked to complete a much more detailed application form.
The applications are then sent for peer review, and a shortlist is drawn up - usually 5-6 applications reach this stage. The shortlisted applicants are invited to attend an interview at the next Scientific Advisory Committee meeting (usually in July each year).
The Scientific Advisory Committee will then make their recommendations to the Board of Trustees, and successful applicants will be advised shortly after the next Trustees' meeting (usually held in September each year).
PILOT/PUMP PRIMING GRANT
The limit for a pump priming grant is £10,000. These grants are available to fund initial research which should ideally lead to further research. All pump priming applications which meet the criteria set out by the Trust are forwarded to the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee for consideration.
The Scientific Advisory Committee draw up a final shortlist at their next meeting (usually held in July each year), and then make their recommendations to the Board of Trustees. Successful applicants are advised shortly after the next Trustees' meeting (usually held in September each year).
